The Fermanagh Modellers who hail from the Ely Centre in Fermanagh, Northern Ireland raised a stonking £656 for Models for Heroes. Their stubbornness and dogged determination saw 6 of the crew making it the whole 24 hours. Using Just Giving as their fundraising platform they were able to automatically process GiftAid and offer a secure donation process to would be sponsors – taking the worry and concern out of the fundraising.
During the slog, participants were invited to join in in the chat or online where appropriate and build along with the modellers. By the end at 10am on the 27th of December money was still coming in and the chaps were ready for bed. However a few projects had been completed and were proudly displayed at the end of the show.
The whole thing was broadcast through the Fermanagh Modellers EC Facebook page, their YouTube Channel AND The Budget Modeller YouTube channel owned by Steff Keightley, a M4H Volunteer who helped organise the venture. Well Done to everyone involved!
